Barron Trump celebrates his 20th birthday on Friday, March 20, marking the end of his teenage years. The youngest child of President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, Barron is carving out a path that mirrors his real estate tycoon father’s legacy. As the youngest of Trump’s five children, he was born and raised in New York City, just like the president.
Currently a sophomore at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Barron initially attended NYU’s Manhattan campus in 2024 before transferring to the Washington, D.C., campus at the beginning of his second year last fall. Though he has maintained a lower profile than his older siblings, he is making notable progress in the business arena.

Barron is also entering the multibillion-dollar lifestyle beverage industry as one of five partners in Sollos Yerba Mate Inc., a caffeinated herbal tea company scheduled to launch in April.
The new business venture has ties to one of the president’s political donors and former tennis partners, whose address near Mar-a-Lago in Florida serves as the company’s headquarters.
He has even ventured into the family business. In July 2024, the president’s son established a real estate firm, Trump, Fulcher and Roxburgh Capital Inc., in Wyoming, though it was subsequently dissolved when his father began his second presidential term.
Melania has lovingly dubbed her son “little Donald,” and a social source described him to PEOPLE as an “old soul.”

What is Barron Trump like?
According to the source, Barron is “an old soul who is smart, well-spoken and well-read.
“He has lived through experiences others his age haven’t,” the source explained to the outlet, noting that European influences from his mother and maternal grandparents have shaped his character. “He is well-grounded, he has seen a lot and he knows who he is.”
Barron was just 10 years old during Trump’s first presidency. Growing up in Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, he experienced extraordinary privilege.
Melania was brought up by her parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, in Slovenia, and according to the source, her background has instilled in Barron “old world manners.”
A separate European source told PEOPLE that Barron “has more characteristics of a European than an American.”
The European source elaborated, “He isn’t as aggressive as many of his age when they are in their own social circles. He is someone who listens before talking, and is super polite.” Melania shares a tight bond with Barron, and the youngest Trump is taking on characteristics from both parents as he matures.
With Barron’s net worth potentially already surpassing $150 million, according to Forbes, there will be significant interest in how the president’s son carves out his own path, particularly with his new beverage company venture.
