
My 14-year-old daughter stopped eating dinner with us 3 months ago. She said she wasn’t hungry. She was losing weight. I thought it was a phase.
Then I found her diary hidden under her mattress.
The first page said: “Day 1 of not eating. If I’m thin enough, maybe he’ll stop.”
I couldn’t read another word. My vision went blurry.
I drove to her school and went straight to the principal’s office.
“Something is happening to my daughter in this school,” I said.
The principal shook his head. “Mrs. Torres, your daughter is our best student. Nothing is wrong.”
I slammed the diary onto his desk.
He read one page.
His face changed.
He picked up the phone.
He called the police.
